Skiing 101 in Southwest Montana

These slopes are not just meant for the professionals but even the beginners, young and old, snowboarders and skiers can have a lifetime experience skiing here.

* In Anaconda, just 40 minutes away from The Fish Creek House go to Discovery to experience what skiing Montana is all about! In the heart of southwestern Montana, this regional secret boasts great terrain, uncrowded slopes, amazing views, and a friendly atmosphere. Discovery's 614 skiable acres are spread over 2100 acres of National Forest. Our two north-facing bowls offer some of the steepest lift-served skiing around. The extensive frontside faces offer excellent beginner & intermediate runs. Our terrain truely offers something for everyone - tree skiing, powder bowls, mogul-runs, groomed trails and great boarding air. Lessons, rentals and cross-country skiing are available.

* Another skiing destination that is swarming with people during the months of November to April is the Big Mountain. Big Mountain standing firm in Whitefish, Montana is America's everlasting attraction. On this approximately 3000 acres of real estate you can enjoy on incredible 91 runs. The proficient ones can ski at a set of 15 separate runs and bask in the glory of wonderful aura and the pleasant game. Other games such as sledding, tubing, sleigh riding, dog sledding tours etc. can even be enjoyed here

* In Bozeman is Bohart Ranch, which also has great down hill skiing and cross country skiing as well.
